This Honduran decaf coffee is Fair Trade Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Swiss Water Processed. We designed this roast profile to bring out notes of smooth caramel, vanilla, and cherry.
The Swiss Water Process is a patented process that removes the caffeine using only water. The flavor of the coffee remains delicious and consistent and avoids the unpleasant side effects that result when caffeine is removed using chemicals.
This is the coffee that we serve for both our decaf espresso and drip coffee in the Mela cafe. It's great for making split-shot/half-caff drinks, drinking straight, or any other way that you might like to cut down on the caffeine and still enjoy your favorite coffee drinks.
